Chair Boundless Self Defense offers a free, hands-on program for individuals with limited mobility and the physically challenged. The program aims to demonstrate how to achieve “Freedom through Mobility and is available to the Southern California area.
In our modern world, situational awareness and an understanding of spatial relationships are essential for individuals to be aware of their surroundings. Vigilance is necessary to be conscious of potential threats.
Our wheelchair self-defense program is not limited to any single style, making it easier to adapt to various real-world situations.
For instance, we use Bruce Lee’s Jeet Do, which helps to equip individuals with the skills necessary for three fighting ranges. The furthest range is where sticks can be used, enhancing our combat skills. The next range is boxing, where elbows can reach the face. The closest range is grappling, a choice for some individuals, which involves close, hand-to-hand combat.
Our goal at Chair Boundless Self Defense is to raise individuals’ self-esteem by setting personal and achievable goals, fostering the confidence to say, “I can do this.”
